An elegant and complex chardonnay with flavours of grapefruit, lime and gingerbread on a long fine palate with subtle mineral hints. Traditional winemaking techniques including hand picking and barrel fermentation produce a wine of great pedigree with outstanding balance and refinement.
Margaret River has established an international reputation for high quality chardonnay. The Cape Mentelle style draws inspiration from traditional methods to produce a wine displaying aromatic complexity and a fine, textured palate with a long, clean finish.
Tightly crafted and finely balanced, this opulent but tighly wound chardonnay delivers Grand Cru concentration and composition. It’s fragrant and smoky, with aromas of white peach, nectarine, grapefruit and fresh vanilla oak backed by suggestions of wax and wheatmeal, plus a hint of bubblegum. Long, smooth and unctuous, it’s explosively fruited, with a seamless presence of flavour underpinned by nuances of cashew and mineral, finishing focused, mineral and quite savoury with fresh, citrusy acids.
Beautifully elegant chardonnay displaying a complex grapefruit and mineral aroma with some slightly savoury, almost spicy, characters. The palate has a rich and lavish texture within its tight frame that is sustained with a fine minerally acid. Love the dry clean finish. Excellent wine.
